Editorial policy
Global Kitchen Journal aims to make food subjects clearer without pretending that a complex tradition has one tidy explanation. We distinguish established information from interpretation and correct meaningful errors openly.
Accuracy and context
We check factual statements against appropriate sources before publication and take care with names, origins, dates and cultural context. Where accounts differ, we explain that difference rather than manufacturing certainty. Articles should make clear when a point is interpretation, an example or a general observation.
Independence and labelling
Editorial decisions are made for reader value, not as a condition of a commercial relationship. Sponsored material and partner placements are labelled clearly so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial coverage. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error or an important omission, contact us through the Contact page and identify the article and passage. We review correction requests, amend confirmed errors and clarify substantial changes in the article where appropriate.
Illustrations
Some illustrations may be generated with AI. Illustrations are not evidence for factual claims, and we aim to avoid using them in ways that misrepresent a real person, place, dish or cultural practice.
Food makes more sense in context
A dish is never just a list of ingredients. Place, history, habit and access all shape what reaches the table.
